White Hair? Hope not! I've never known koi that grew hair before! (LOL) But if it's a white fuzz around the eggs, it's most likely dead. Note that not all the eggs will hatch! The ones that turns white are DEAD! and the one's that are clear with a black dot in it are still alive. In fact the dot is the eyes. Fry's are very succeptible to diseases and the mortality rate on fry's are very high. That why when breeders breed their koi, they will take the eggs out and dip them in a medication. ie: Malachite Green, Methelyne Blue. In your case and without experience, I would just leave them alone and let nature take it's course. The eggs will start hatching within the week and will continue to hatch for two weeks. I just answered a similar post re: spawning. You might want to read it. Congrats. Mama! Best Regards Bran A Koi Pond is never FINISHED, it's always subject to improvement. Drives the Spouse Crazy!
