Hello! I am a new member and would appreciate help! Our pond spawned in May much to our surpirse and delight. We have 10 babies currently in a 5 gallon tank in our home, just over 5 months old. We plan to keep them inside over the winter - how long can they remain in the 5 gallon tank before they need to be moved or are they fine where they are? we are concerned about stunting their growth if that is something to be concerned about. Thank you! we are having such fun with them!

Hi, the babies should be 4-5 inches in length just to be safe. However, if they are inside now and it is cold outdoors, it doesnt hurt to leave them where they are as long as the water parameters are good

Thank you! my main concern is that the tank is too small. But if they are ok until Spring I will be happy watching them continue to grow! I really appreciate your reply!

Get a larger Tank and give them more room to grow over the winter a 5 gallon tank is kind of small as they will grow very fast and will grow better in a larger tank. 30 to 50 gallons also you can use that tank as a medical tank if one of your kio get sick. Trust me koi grow kind of fast and 10 koi just do not have enough room in a 5 gallon tank. Judy
