adding young koi Can't Post

i recently purchased 10 small 4 to 5 inch various koi, has of yet i,ve only seen 4 of them and they hide behind the planters, my largest koi is around 25inch 2 others around the 18inch size, are the larger koi a threat to the smaller koi, or is it normal for the smaller koi to keep out of site for a while, sorry if this sounds a silly question to the more knowledgeable amongstyou, thanks for the advice

It can take them a while to develop "social skills". Give them a while and they will start hanging out and a pecking order will slowly become apparant.

Hi sumodave,

Give them time to get use to their new environmentSmile Get some small pellets for them. Give large pellets first for the big boys and girls and then small pellets for your friesWink

thanks very much for the advice, i,ve been looking for the fry this morning, some are in the depths of the plants, you,d wonder how on earth they got there, not found all ten but i,m sure they are hiding somewhere, be nice to see them develop, then hopefully tame, would love to hand feed, bigger boys and girls won,t come near, patience i hear you say Crazy
