fry size of tank needed Can't Post
hello i am a new be and have lots of fry seem to be doing great hatched 2 days after fert...swam to surface 4 days after that and eating egg yolk i am building a new pond around 700 gall and will be ready in 2 weeks hard to dig by hand in ga wow clay .....i saw a post about selling koi at what size is right for sell they are going to be butterfly koi and i have around 1000 fry holy crap!!!!!!!!!! more then i barganed for
please help dont want them to die

Nice....1000 is a nice numberSmileWinkCoolTongue.....

but honestly....most of them will tend not to survive.....Don't be surprized if maybe only 500 will make it.....Unsure

That is the reality of having frys.....Crazy

A friend of mine has like 10 fish in a spawn and he only managed to produce 500 fry successfully.......keeps them in his swimming pool now.....heheheTongueLaugh

A friend of mine has like 10 fish in a spawn and he only managed to produce 500 fry successfully.......keeps them in his swimming pool now.....heheheTongueLaugh yeah , eventhough they spawn alot , but not all will survive , only the strongest will survive ... wah ur friend keep the koi's in the swimming pool ah ? hehehe....crazy.....does ur friend swim with the fish ? hehe Smile

Nothing wrong with swimming with you koi. As long as you get out to pee. I swim with my fish All the the time (Well in the summer) goggles and snorkel it's great and you get a differnt perspective.
Mind you i have seen some peoples fish ponds and you can't get in them realy some people have paddling pools for their koi.
so sad

OH yeah....nice to swim with koi....but I like it more natural.....so just koi in the pondLaughLaughLaugh
