g off anti-growth hormone? Can't Post

I've heard in various places that when you have small koi to separate them from the larger ones because the larger ones give off a hormone that stops the smaller ones from growing. I have eight 15 inch koi, and then a lot of three inch koi. Is it true that the large koi give off a hormone that prevents my small ones from growing? Also, how much can I expect them to grow a year. Thanks, Oikay.

I've heard the same thing, but some of my young koi don't seem to agreeWink. I would imagine that pond size and water conditions play heavily into growth rates and hormone levels alike. Then again, I'm no expertBlush.
