Hi Kiefer thank so much for replying, was beginning to thing that I would not get any reply on my question. You say that the genetics of koi are very complex, so if I keep any of the kigoi to crossbreed whit kohaku I can’t be sure to get kohaku fry out of it ? I live in Denmark .The picture of the pond were taken in my garden and the picture of the pond was what it looked like last year. Actually we rebuild it this year so now we got 30.000 litre garden pond , instead of the 10.000 litre we use to have , I keep most of the fry in the garden pond and cross my fingers that they will make it trough the winter , it can get pretty cold here in Denmark . I caught some of the fry to take a close-up picture. Think they where about 7-8 cm long at the time. I have stopped feeding in the pond this year since we are down at 9-10 degrees Celsius. I keep about 20 fry in a 1000 litre tank inside where I hope to bee able to keep about 18 degrees the whole winter. In the garden pond we have about 50-70 fry. You can se picture of my indoor pond on http://www.ninaweb.dk/havedam/Vinterstue.htm but all the texts are in Danish, haven’t had to make the page in English jet. Sorry. We build the indoor pond this spring, and I am a beginner whit koi , so I try to find all I can find about koi to read Regards Birgitte koinut www.ninaweb.dk/havedam
