koi breeding Can't Post
hey,
i am very new to breeding koi, i have a few question before i begin breeding koi.
1: i am getting 3 new koi, can i breed with these koi that have just recently been introduced into the pond?
2: how old do the fish need to be to be mature enough to mate.
3: what size tank should i use for them to spawn in.
4: what can a do with some of the extra fry?

5: if i don't have a spawning pool if i go out and buy a inflatable pool will that work?

Yes you can breed the three new koi but it depends if their interrested. I dont know how old but the fish has to be at least 8 inches to breed. You can use a swimming pool but thats up to you. I dont really know what size the tank has to be. You can sell your frys to a pet store. yes an inflatable pool will work.

Koi fry love to eat worms, i suggest you buy "Velvet Worms" i think that's the name someone correct me if i'm wrong lol.
