Sorry about that....but maybe you can perform a manual fertilization...pick up male and squeeze milt into the eggs...

Dear sir
please do not encourage people to do manual fish spawnnings or fertilization the prossess is extremly dangerous to the fish. It's rare for a fish to die though not spawnning sometimes the females will get egg bound but they will reabsourb the eggs.

If you value your fish don't try this manual breading stuff you will just end up with dead fish

Yes......I realize the dangers behind the task of manual spawning.....It was merely an option for the owner himself..

and from what tigerjh is saying....the spawning female has already passed.....

sometimes however.....females make become egg impacted from not spawning and that is even more dangerous....when they are unable to reabsorb the eggs...ppl even try to remove the eggs by surgical means if the female is truely in threat..Unsure

But thank you for the commentSmile

Re: [isma_3971] koi with eggs ??????? [In reply to] Can't Post

hello there
you can do a surgery to remove egg in koi or introduce a male koi to stimulate the pregnant female.
are you sure your koi got egg? once a friend in canada thought his koi got eggs, eventually found out that his koi got internal infection, when doing surgery found out that the kois liver got infected.
is your koi swelling on one side of her body? pictures will be good to indentify the problem.

cheers
April

Pictures of your pregnant Koi would be very helpful. Preferably from the rear and the side. That way we can be sure it is eggs and not an internal infection.

isma_3971....

If the fish is not in danger from being egg bound......I think it's best to just let them spawn....

But the alternate ways such as surgery...etc....will be needed when problem occurs..Unsure

hello there

your kohaku look sick, i notice got parasite bite on the top part of the koi, also some sort of fungus near the tail part koi.
the top fin look like attack by fin rot. it all could be due to water or picture taken. the hiban of your koi really weak. how is your water condition?
from the pictures i dont see any problem with eggs. may be a picture fro top view will help.

Re: [isma_3971] koi with eggs ??????? [In reply to] Can't Post

I can't tell much from the pictures other than ruling out popeye/dropsey, which is good news. When they get an infection of their internal organs is causes bloating which makes the scales flare out.
The Koi does look like it could be pregnant, but not excessively bloated with eggs. Keep your water in good condition and let her spawn naturally. Don't overfeed as that is what can most easily cause an eggbound condition from large fatty deposits blocking the vent.

Dear isma_3971

I don't see any problems with the pics of your fish, it looks ok to me.

Hard to judge size from pics though. but sure dosent look to fat or full with eggs to me.

How deep is you pond ? shallow pond do tend to make fish dumpy.
