Havn't seen a mud pond in a while, those look great and I wonder are muddier mud ponds better or those kind????? Because I seen some other mud pond in pictures and they are more muddier or reddish brown like.

eastside,

it really depends on the chemistry of the water
although the shade, color or texture of the mudpond water could serve as
indicators on the quality of water there is.

stocking rate and mudpond depth are also factors to consider
