placing fingerlings with small/med koi Can't Post

Hello everyone,
I recently both some koi fingerlings that were 1 inch last week and I have fed them silk-21 growth food. Some have grown to about 1 1/2 to 2 inches now. I have put eight 2 inch koi in my pond. The pond has five 6-8 inch koi and one 15 inch koi. It does not seem like the bigger koi are chasing or eating the small fingerlings. But they are all hiding near the folds of the liner.

Is this normal or should I yank them out of the pond and put back in the aquarium?

The reason I put some in the pond was because they were growing fast in my aquarium and I was concerned with overcrowding.

Start yanking while there are still fingerling left to yank! Three inches is pushing it but anything under that has a great potential for a quick snack.Unsure

Thank you. I was able to yank all of them out in time. Do you know at what length I should be able to add them to the main pond?
