Hi Arcinfol,

I have to disagree on thatTongue coz my sanke is always the first one to come up when hand feeding timeCoolWink I think it's really depends how much time you spend sitting by the pond. The more time you spend the quicker you can tame them

Hi Franco,

That's how I tamed mine. I spent a lot of time sitting by the pond or walking near the pond until spooking has goneWink. I then started hand feeding at night with brown bread. To my surprise my sanke was the first one to came up followed by a doitsuSmile it took me about 3 nights before I can hand feed on day timeCool Good luck mateWink

Jon

Dear Cifu
It's not a bad thing for your fish to be leary of you with koi theifs and preditors it's a good thing. alot depends on the inhabitants of the pond and the size and depth of the pond the more secure they feel in their envoiroment the braver they will be. mind you alot of koi have to share their homes with goldfish and orf wich are very skitish and make others skitish also. If you just have koi and whant to get them tame then maybe you should look into getting a lemon ogon or a chargoi as these fish are very greedy and will risk it for food. Thus becoming tame quickly and other fish will follow suit to be fed before the gready one eat all the food.
