~Cold water fish..err..well.. does 58 degrees count ? (pics) Can't Post

Stopped by the pond today ( playing hookie from work )
Thought I'ld snap some pics of the fishes.
Here is what it looks like walking to the pond from the front door. All the fish hear the footsteps and gather closest to you walking up ( preferable with some delicious food morsels )

Gathering crowd.

And random shots :

Great photos I love the plants! You need to let me know how you managed to get lillies in with the Koi! Did you put them in there when they were fully grown/ mature plants? My Koi think a Lilly is for eating not eye candy! Smile

Dear spanishman

Your water is amazinley clear. Is that due to the plants or do you have a massive UV ???

Mines pretty clear but nowhere near that, your fish look like they are floating in air ...

How deep is that ?? It looks a bit shallow.

jim--- that plant is called PENNY WORT.
Runs all over the place... you just can't kill it.
if you want some let me know and I'll gladly send you a big ol' bag for postage ;)

rocco--- thanks ;) nawwwwwwwwww-- the big koi-- we have 3 now well over 19inches... never touch the lillies nor do the smaller koi.
everyone behaves themselves ;) never have had a issue-- probably because they have all that gravel on the bottom to pick through and are fed twice a day !??!!? who knows ;)

zoul --- no uv. never believed in them.
massive plants and monthly water changes does the trick.
in the winter the water is always GIN CLEAR. sediment settles with the colder water-- fish don't move as much to stir it up. the pond is shallow-- 15inches in the shallow -- 21 in the deep !! eeeeeeeeeek !
hey hey heyyyyyyyyyyyyyy-- i know i know-- but it was pure rock at that point ;)

fish don't seem to mind ? :P
