The pond itself is 15 X 10. The deepest point is about 2 feet. I'm guessing the water fall is about 8 feet long. I don't remember so I guess I will have to measure it again.

It is our first pond. Now I want a moat that travels all around the house. :) too bad we live in a subdivision. sigh.

We were proud the fish survived the first winter and us!

Hi Redibe,

That's a very nice pondCool Done a great job. I've noticed looking on the pix that the ground on right side of the pond is higher, Have you ever had any problems with water run off, like going in your pond???

Thanks for sharing by the way and enjoySmile

rgds,
Jon

Very nice pond! With pond like that make my pond look like a watering hole.

Is it a diy? Cause the large rocks are nicely lay down. Is this your first pond? If it is, you may want to post the dimension of you filter too.

Any pictures of your koi to share!

Thanks,
Sang

Hi,
there hasn't been any issues yet with runoff. There is a small swail built at the base of the burm and the runoff follows that line. The burm was built first on the flat backyard with the intention of the pond being nestled in the corner. so far, so good. Between the fish, the frogs and the birds bathing, I am having a blast.

the added entertainment came when I sent my indoor tropical fish to "summer camp" with the Koi. Watching them all hang out together is fun. It was tough catching them last year to bring them in for the winter. not one got sick and everyone of them grew quite a bit. this summer the Koi seemed to welcome them back like old pals.
