Heron Visit-not good Can't Post

Hi all. Came back from work to find 2 large white feathers floating in my pond and a lack of fish.
After i reduced stocking a month back i was left with 15 fish. Some koi a few butterfly koi and others shubunkin

Suffereing from green water at the moment so dont know exactly how many i have lost-however i fished around with my large net and only 3 came up towards the surface!!
I believe my pair of gold ogons have also been taken- these are the two iv had for years and the main ones im bothered about

Was thinking about putting the net back on over the next few weeks aswell. Dam i wish id done it sooner
I need an air rifle lol

My condolences Smithy.

Remember the good times you had with them.

I have had similar visits in the past. A net all the time is the safest way to protect your fish.

After a partial drain of the pond it is not as bad as i first thought- turns out that the fish were just hiding at the bottom as the heron must of spooked them. My 2 ogons are stil there woohooo. Iv counted 10 this morning- think i may have been lucky and only lost goldfish/shunbunkins.
The net is going on today lol
