Koi and goldfish together should be fine.Smile You can even add comets, shibunkins.Laugh
They are all fresh water fishWink But koi will not grow to its potential size in a tight environmentUnsure

You can put as many fish as you want in your pond. It would not be smart to oeverstock but you could. The more fish you put in the less the koi will grow.

1 bekko, 1 sanke, 1 showa, 1 yamabuki ogon, 2 platinum ogons, 1 asagi, 1 orenji/yamabuki ogon, 1 buttefly kohaku, 2 kujaku, 2 shubunkins, 3 comets, 1 sarassa comet, 3 feeder fish, 2 kivers, 1 catfish.

There are lots of factors to know if you want to grow a healthy koi. Water parameters for start. Right filtration, diet and environment.Smile The leght of your pond is not to bad but depth should at least 5ft, IMHO. My old pond was 3ft and now I'm building a 12ft x 6ft deep pond (approx).Cool

Hi Drackie,

I have had a bad experience keeping koi and goldfish together, koi already killed 7 goldfish , they left 2 missing an eye, 3 more with no tail and 2 bullheads with half eaten heads ( but growing back already) I suspect only a few of the kois are doing this but not all
