Thank you. It is about 1 1/2 years old now. I currently have 16 Koi and 1 Hyphen Tail Shark (hyphen shark is the name thefish store used. It gets about 24 inches long and has a big fin like a shark)

I will try to get one. He is dark and hangs out at the bottom most of the time so I will see what I can do

No, no dangers at all. I actually mispelled it earlier it is hi fin shark. Here is a link:

http://www.solodvds.com/remarks.asp?Name=Chinese+Hi+Fin+Banded+Shark&link=Shark&ID=16

They grow very fast. They are very adaptable to ponds and can live in water as cold as 40 degrees F.

Compatibility: Similar sized "Oddball fish" (miscellaneous fish), Plecos, and scavenger Catfish, Goldfish and Koi.

They are very interesting to say the least and are a conversation piece. The ones in the above links are smaller, about the size mine was when I purchased it. Like I said they grow very fast.

Do you need to feed it any different foods other than the koi food?

No he eats off the bottom. I watch the Koi spit out food and it goes to the bottom and it is his. Also if I give them bananas or rice they go straight to the bottom. There is plenty of food that makes it to the bottom of the pond
