Hello SImon,

Long time no see. Good to see you posting again. Is it a sign that the Koi bug is biting again? Your plants is flourishing which may mean that you are also feeding you kois well. WHich of your kois are the stars in your pond. Will be nice to post some pictures... When you feel the itch to go koi hunting, dont forget to give a call. Go kaypoh with U, OK?

Dear Wong,

Yeah it was a long time that I am inactive at all. I am working in Thailand for a year now and will be back at the end of this month. I did go to the Young koi show at BKK.

You are right somehow the koi bug is back, I am thinking of "renovating my pond" too but no space to expand already.

I saw your new re-built pond, I am jealous-lah... Can I visit your new pond when I am back?

4got your are in Thailand... U shud go visit Thai Nippon Fish Farm. They are the Sakai dealer in Thailand and they have very good Sakai kois. Go look pun syiok mah.. Renovate your pond...no problem just sacrifice your front lawn, but kena kautim your wife first. 2Karat flawless stone may do the trick.Wink When u get back, give me a call.

Thanks for the compliments; after 4 years I felt my pond is too boring, need to have a change.

The filter is in fornt of the door. I will take pictures once I am back to my home next month. I use brushes and matt only in the filter.

My pond size is 17'x5'x5' and filter is 8'x'5'x5'; As the pond is too small, I can't keep too many kois. I need to wash the filter at least once in 1.5-2 months. I reduced to feed the kois significantly otherwise, the I have to clean the filter more often.

I have about 14 kois. They are all about 60cm and the biggest kois are about 80cm (Kohaku & Ociba). My largest sanke died early last year at 82cm, I bought it at about 25cm and I kept her for 5+years.

You are welcome, My opinion, that's reasonable size pond and filter size, moreover it is easy to maintain!! Breeding koi is for enjoyment and relaxing purpose. With the majority koi size, you may need to work hard to clean the filter frequently, but most important is enjoyed lar!Cool

Good size koi, don't mind if you can take some more pictures of your koi too M.A.W.!Smile, they look nice to me.
