Please help

How does one calculate the volume of a circular pond?

and,

How do I calculate how much flow I would get from a bottom drain? (In this case on a40mm pipe?)

Volume(m3) = Diameter(m) x Diameter(m) x 0.785 x Water Depth(m)

The flow thru bottom drain depend on your pumps. the pipe size of 100 mm could handle flow rate up to 50 - 60 m3/hr at reasonable headloss.

Interesting formula on the volume. I always thought it should be radius rather than diameter, and PI value should be more than 0.785....Tongue

simplified from (0.758 = 3.142/4) x Diameter x Diameter or 3.142 radiaus x radiaus where radiaus = Diameter / 2 ; 3.142 = pi

It is easier to measure diameter than radiaus.

For a 3 inch bottom drain, the flowrate is 1200 gallons max - gravity.
