Can anyone recommend me a pond pump Can't Post

Can anyone recommend me a pond pump with low wattage for a est. 10,000 litres pond. My current pump (I think the pump is spoil) is 1,200 l/hr and it is 300watt. I am not sure what is the brand. I think the wattage is too high.

Thank you.

My mistake, you are in the right forum. I guess you just have to wait for a reply from someone in your area. good luck

You could also consider Tsurumi pump. Most shops that sell fish/koi carry this.

i dont think grundfos is summersible, even if they have, i dont think its worth paying the money for pond. If u want good quality pump, get Tsurumi, otherwise, there are many Taiwan or China made pumps if u have a budget. most fish shop do sell them and go to those where u are familar to get better price.

If u have the time, go to Jalan Loke Yew, there are quite afew shops selling all kind of pumps and they do have those for pond including Tsurumi which is definitely cheaper if u buy from fish shop but pls do some homework. Also, get the right pump and not under capacity or over. I'm not sure but if i recall, u should get those with similar volume of your pond per hour...check out the posting to confirm as i'm not too sure.

support? i think u will get the same from fish shop or these suppliers as the only support is really replacement if its not working within the warranty period....its a matter of whether u want to get good or normal pumps. If u dont mind the cost Tsurumi would be the best available which i'm using but i've also got another "made in china" pump for circulation where it has not failed me thus far....pricing difference is quite a lot, just some illustration, one Tsurumi can buy u 4 to 5 made in china pumps of equivalent capacity.....

whatever it is, make sure u get the right pump otherwise u will have to spend again later. Rule of thumb is "your pond volume/ per hour", thats what i read previously, plus minus will be fine. Normally pump will state X litres per minute hence just multiply.

Re: [dannysao] Can anyone recommend me a pond pump [In reply to] Can't Post

first, use your measurements of your width, depth, length including filters and google for pond volume calculator and find out whats the tonnage of your pond. Assuming your pond is 10 tonnes, and assuming u have a gravity drainage, all u need is a pump in your last chamber of your filter to pump water from the filter into your main pond. The pump size should be about 10 tonnes per hour if u want 1 cycle per hour.

Calling other sifu, pls comment if my thoughts is wrong as i also learn through this forum.....
