Does protein skimmer work with fresh water ?

Hi Tong,
The owner of Aquarium 88 in Pandan Indah, KL mentioned to me two years ago that he has installed big protein skimmer for koi pond. According to him, it can also works very well for normal water.
Hence you wish to talk to him to find out more.
