hei guys,
was just wondering how you guys drill holes on your DIY filters. I cant seem to find drill bits that big to actually drill holes as wide as 15mm

Use the small drill bit and drill several holes within the limit to make it a big hole.

If its for fibreglass or wood materials, then I will recommend that you buy those that are use for door knobs installation. It comes in set of 2. Another type is the adjustable one which I am using. The drill bit cost S$22/- net. If there is need for a picture please let me know and I will try to post mine.

The adjustable dial ranges from 1" to 4" diameter.

Water leakage is always the main problem and I think the greatest challenge will be the "technical know-how" in sealing the PVC pipe and the hole together.

Hi! Everyone,

If you are drilling fibreglass - BEWARE of the fine `Dust'. Never use hand to swap off.
It is actually very fine fibreglass splinsters. Once embaded into your skin - very ichy. Night time when you sleep - like thousands needles pricking you whenever you move.

In the event you got it - the best solution is to use cloth type (is more sticky) of masking tapes to stick & try to extract out the fine dust (needles).

Best is to take precaution - cover up entirely, even for mouth & eyes = get protection.

Rdgs,
Eric
