Filter question / input. Can't Post

Ok this was I am thinking for my 1900-2500 pond for the filter set up
Two bottom drains feeding a series of two barrels each. So five barrels total ( 2 DYI vortex , 2 Bio Filter , One barrel for the pump to pull water form ( so both Bio will dump into one tub that my pump is returning water from )).
Also I see the bottom drains are gravity fed ...but do the vortex need lower than the pond or can they be parallel to the pond?
The return I am thinking will be a small bog /water fall , all of this powered by a 3500 gph pump.
Thanks for the input /help.
John

John,

The filters needs to be same height as your pond or even a fraction higher, reason being is when you turn your pump off for any reasons water will find its own levelWink You filter design is the good but will be much better to have a pump per set of filter. The advantage is when you switch off one pump or say it died, the other will still service your pond while the broken one either get fixed or replacedWink j

Food for thoughtSmile

rgds,
Jon
