Please teach me how to calculate
flow rate is how deep of bioball system.

I know that surface is 30%

Hi Tong,

You may wish to build a pond with a minimum depth of 5 feet. As for the depth of your filter, 3 feet will be fine.

Bioball is used widely for the trickle filter. No light is required.
