Help creating a waterfall/filter Can't Post

Hello all, I have decided to seek out other opinions on what to do with my filteration/waterfall setup. My pond is almost 3000 gallons and home to only 2 koi at the present, a 24" female Hi Utsuri and a 16" male Hi Usturi. Filtration is not really the problem with such a low stocking rate, but after this breeding season I plan to add several larger koi to accompany them. The current filter is a Hayward 21" sand filter with modified laterals and Ultima II media (approx. 1cu. ft+). I have a Laguna 55 w UV sterilizer.

I am looking for the best way to plumb this system. I currently have a 5800GPH Durango Sequence external pump fed from a Tetra Vacuum bottom drain. I think my pump purees any waste into tiny particles, as I have no settlement. The footprint is about a 6' by 6' space in which I can design a housing area and additional plumbing. Digging is not a viable option, so it must be above grade. I can not max 3' in height. If anyone has any ideas on how to add a nice solution that is beautiful and functional to my pond, please share it with me.

Below is a diagram of the existing pond and the bottom drain, how it currently feeds to the filter system (through an underwater pipe and directly up the wall and over the edge).
