Help my pond is pea soup green Can't Post

My pond is pea soup green.....last time this happened to me is 12 years ago. About a month ago this filter was back flushed too much. This has happened before but it never took this long for the pond to clear. It usually only takes 3-5 days but it has been well over a month. What is wrong? Pls anyone that can help me I would really appreciate it.

Can we have your water readings for pH, ammonia and nitrites?

Base on your post at the other thread which state that your koi is suffering from ulcers. It is definitely an indication that your water quality is poor and you really need to test your water ASAP to see how bad are they.

Hi Cangel
Thank you very much for the results of the tests.

Fish strives well in pH 7.5 to 9 but it is good to understand that ammonia becomes life threatening as pH goes up.

So with pH at 8.6 we have to control the level of ammonia.

Your immediate actions will be:
1. 10% to 20% daily water change
2. Maintain a 0.3% salt level
3. Aerates your pond aggressively. Spray bar may be ideal.
4. No feeding for the next 3 days
5. Test the water daily and comes back with the results.

For your sick fish, I will reply at your other post.
