Help needed for construction of new pond! Can't Post
Hello everyone,

I am a new koi enthusiast and i'm planning to construct a pond of size 5 X 22 feet inclusive of a proper filtration system which consists of bottom drain, mechanical filter and biological filter. By the way, how many chambers do i need? and do they have to vary in sizes? In fact i have read up on some information in the forums but i have no confidence in constructing the pond. It will be a great pleasure if some one could furnish me with a plan n measurements in detail.

minimum 3 chambers for vortex (the bigger the better) brush and japanese matting (comes in 1 x 2 meter, so a chamber that is either 1 meter in length or width would make a nice fit).

minimum filtration system is approx 30% of main pond surface area.

suggest you do a lot of research, draw up your plans and post it for comment. btw, there are a lot of plans in this forum.
