Hydraulic Can't Post

Dear All,
If the pond settlement outlet is 9ft deep and the public drain is 5ft deep, what is a good solution to avoid or prevent a flow from public drain to the pond? or could be a change in pond design (not height or level) and how to solve it?
Thanks
Sunshine

Hi Sunshinekoi,

I think one of the solution is to introduce a Dry Chamber set higher than the public drain at say 4'0" deep.
Bottom drain from the Settlement Chamber will be connected to the Dry Chamber to control back flushing
purposes which are then directly discharge out to the public drain. Hope that make some senses to you.

Hi Thiam Hwa,
Thanks for the input. I have thought about is. It is a matter of how to effectively move the heavy waste from low to high level. The cleaning up will be indeed very time consuming. Most likely a pump need to be installed at the settlement chamber to provide a secondary aid flushing out all the waste. Still looking for more options...........

I am back to the West for this christmas and new year. Hopefully will be a peaceful one. I planned to come over while waiting for our cifu too but his schedule is not fixed and so I have to wait for next trip.

All the best for the new coming year and a very good christmas to you and your family too!!

Sunshine
