New kid on the hook Can't Post

I am starting new.

I intend to buy a 5'L x 2.5'W x 1.5'H blue fibre tank plus a fibre compartment filter box. This tank will be placed outside my house under direct sunlight.

1. What sort of material should I place in each of the filter compartment ?

2. Are hairy green algae and green water good/healty for koi in the tank or to keep algae away by placing 'catfish/sucker fish' ?

3. What is the 'best' height of water level ?

4. Do I use those black 'orchid' net to block off some sunlight or leave the tank under 100% direct light ?

Hope to hear from you experts soon. TQ.

You need brushes for the settlement chamber. Synthetic green matting for the bio chamber.

Algae is a good source of koi food Smile

Water depth for koi pond should be at least 5' if you want your koi to grow to 80cm or more.

You may wish to use some shade such as orkid net to cut off some sunlight.
