New pond - almost complete .........

Hi ya'll,
My first attempt at a koi pond. This pond is in faaaar West Texas, almost New Mexico. Hot and dry, normally, with dust storms in the spring.
This pond is epdm liner and is 18'Lx10'W'. Depth is 20" on one end (near skimmer) and 36" deep on end under falls. It has two 3" bottom drains with 3" piping to pump. skimmer is also connected to the external 3/4hp, 2 speed Wave pump. I have a meter on fill line and it indicated 1400 gallons to fill pond and all of the circulation system. You can see the Savio filter with their springflo media. I have seeded pond with Microbe-Lift. The hopefully attached photo was made this morning. I can't decide if water is tinted green or brownish. any thoughts or comments would be appreciated.
