Re: [gogsard] Oil base paint for pond [In reply to] Can't Post

Hi there,

Would you like to share with us the reason why do you wanna apply those paint in your pond? I may have some answers to your question:
  1. If your pond is made of concrete - you need a relatively dry substrate to achieve good bonding or it may peel off later for an oil base coating. It might also blister during curing if the concrete is too moist.
  2. If your pond is made of fibre - You may well apply but a good surface preparation is needed such as water jetting & brushing the surface. To get rid of those algae & slime other wise it will not bond and peel off later for sure. Make sure it is dry enough as well!

Good Luck!Smile
