Pergola Above Fish Pond Can't Post
Hi
I need to decide if to build the pergola around and above the fish pond. Question here is what is the implication to leave the fish pond to open air, meaning sun and rain. Will the water get green easily, will the koi easily get infected due to rain water etc..

If Pergola is built then above fish pond will be shaded, I believe the water will be cooler. The problem I have now is I build pergola, it will be easy for some one to use the pergola as a step to step into my house, as of my house is on the lower side, hence basically the pergola top level almost same level as next door side fence.

Of course Pergola is not cheap..need to consider the budget as well, if there is no different from having and not having pergola as a shade, then I would prefer not to have the pergola first, as of next door still not accupied yet, not sure when they will move in.

Any view appreciated.

How Long it can Last?

The Plastic Pond construct on 1/10/2006.Pond tested around 17 month with direct sunlight. (22/2/2008)
