Pond Upgrade ... question on algae and blue colored wall Can't Post

I currently have a 1,700 gallon pond and I'm planning to upgrade it to a 5,000 gallon.

I saw Mr. David Ngie's pond on the main site and noticed that he added blue coloring to his cement flooring.

I'm also planning to have the same setup (blue colored cement) but I'm concerned about algae forming and covering the bottom.

Can Mr. Ngie or anyone give advice on whether to go ahead with coloring the pond bottom blue, place blue colored tiles or just color it black to blend with the algae?

It doesn't matter what color you paint your walls/floor, once the algae grows they will all be green anywayTongue Some ponders like myself have used some uses green. It's individuals preference really. Just make sure the paint is non toxicSmile
