Hi chanys,

May i know why u link up the chamber drain pipe? normally we use 1pipe for each chamber.
I think when u drain the water and only the nearest chamber water will get suck,
unless u hav pipe to blog the 2nd-4th chamber.
Its just my opinion correct me if i m wrong.

oh, hehe i have another paip on each chamber to block water flow out, serve is filter overflow also, if i want to drain the particular chamber, just remove that chamber's paip blocker, will post the picture for you then you understand soon, once i installed the chamber seperator

Hi Chriswu,

I think chanys's pond is adopting the IZEKI System whereby Izeki net are being use in the
filtration chambers instead of Japanese Mats, Bio-rings etc. In the IZEKI System, the Izeki
net are place against either end of the chamber wall, hence leaving the centre of the chamber
empty for back flushing purposes.
It will be very troublesome to perform the back flushing if he uses other filter media like Bio-rings
becos' the media will just get in the way. In this case, individual piping from each filter chambers
connected to a Dry Chamber with stand pipes for back flushing purposes are more practical.

Best Regards,
Thiam Hwa
