Question about this design Can't Post

Ask you can see they design the last chamber as wet/dry tricke system.

Here is my question. If pump is at the last chamber, initially there will not be enough water for the pump to pump since the in-flow rate(water spray on the bio-balls) is much slower than the pump out-flow rate. am I correct?

Thank you for the common

Now I see what you mean. So your filter should be at a level higher than the pond? Am I right? If so, then the pump must be in the pond to feed the filter inlet. Is there a bottom drain? If not, disadvantage of such a system is it pushes water into the filter via the pump and this make breakup the waste making the settlement chamber ineffective therby affecting water quality. How do you intend to place the pump in the 5th chamber? Please let us know. Smile

I am sorry I did not clarify the above picture does not related to my filter. THe level of my filter is below the pond so gravify act to pump the water in my filter and indeed the pump needs to be place in the last chamber pump water back to the pond.
