Require advice for Protein Skimmer for small pond Can't Post

I have a small 4000 litre pond, and I have tried many skimmers but they don't work. They don't make foam.

But, dripping water from my waterfall onto the surface of the pond, makes good quantities of foam which irritates the hell outta me because it screws up the look of the pond.

Any advice on the perfect skimmer to get which generates good amount of foam? No need to be too big, I'll just run it continually.

i get more waterfall froth with aqua plus water conditioner.

it may be yr water conditioner causing the waterfall foam.

or you may want to add more salt.

The ponds are physically separate, but the water for both is mixed by the filter system.

How much salt can i add before my ranchus die? and how much can I add before my kois die?

What I really need is a skimmer which can operate without much salt. Any suggestions?

i checked with my koi man. he claims your ranchus can tolerate salt up to 0.6% with the kois.

however do not salt so long at such high salinity.
also salt gradually 0.1% then 0.2% on day 3 and 0.3% at 1 week. otherwise u may shock fish.

i usually salt 0.3 to 0.4 and 0.45 %: i cycle the concentrations evey 2 weeks to prevent bacteria resistance and also depend on how much yellowed leaves on the pond plants: the yellowing increases in proportion to salinity.

Above 0.45% i remove plants.
