Veggie Filter Can't Post

Hey,

I am interested in tryin out veggie filtration as an added filter media as it supposedly assist in removin ammonia, nitrate, and absorb phosphate and iron. I plan to put the veggie near my waterfall (which my fish can't get to), so there should be a semi medium to strong current I suppose. I have attached two foto, can anyone help me identify the name of the plant.

Also, can anyone share with me the hassle of veggie filtration, will these veggie carry bacteria or disease that might harm the fish? Do I need to provide media for these plants (soil, etc), or just simply stick them so they don't float around?

Thankx a lot.
