Water Pond Design - Newbee Can't Post

Dear All,

I have attached a design of my future water pond that i want to build at my home in KL. The pond size is 15' X 14' X 3' deep X 2' wide. It has a gazebo in the middle. Water is around 2500 gallons i guess in this case.
The contractor suggested that i use 2 pumps , 1 for waterfall and 1 for thru the UV light & vortex flow.

1/ Pumps are KPC 200. Good pumps ?

I do not intend to have Koi but maybe 1 or 2 in the future when i am confident.

2/UV light has been recommended. Good i think ?

I would benefit greatly from anyone suggestion after looking at my design.

3/ If the Bottom drain is 3-4" at the inlet, has the pipe got to be same diameter all the way to the settlement tank. Is 2 bottom drains sufficient ? Locations , any suggestions ?

4/ Japanese mat + coral + UV light - is this sufficient filteration? Anything i must look out for ?

5/ Concrete pond with 2 layer s of special paint for water proofing.

6/ What is the RM cost i am looking at for a pond like this ?

Once again thank you so much for helping a newbee like me.

regards

If you are planning to keep koi in the future go at least four feet deep and five would even better.

Thank you but i cannot. The quote that the contractor gives for me now itself shocks me. Its beyond my budget. If i go deeper, the cost is more. I will rear other fish i guess. Anyway just curious, i went to some ponds at pond gardens in Taman Desa area, there were koi in 3 ft or so deep pnds. Are they genuine koi's or special koi's?
