Will this filter system work? Can't Post

Hello,
I have a question about filter system for my new pond. My question is that do the filter system have to have the chambers seperated? This is what I have as my filter system right now... do you think this will work?? Basically, I have the filter system as one big area 4fts x 2fs x 2.6fts deep.... the water come in from the BD, then passes throught the brushes then the Jap mat lay horizontal then the bioball,,, and I have a pump at the end... I don't have a wall to separate each chamber out,, I just use the milk crate to hold the filter media in place... please comment.. Thanks

The purpose of the partitions are to block/settle down the dirt/debris from clogging the mat and flow back into the pond. My filtration system is also as small as yours:

Yeah,, that y i have the inlet not flat on the floor but raise up about 6" so hopefully the waste dont' flow back in the pond... btw,, how do you divide out the chamber? What do you use to divide it? Thanks

Ok.. the reason for the floor base inlet is to get the solid debris carried in into the settlement chamber by the water flow and cumulated there for disposal as I missed the chance to make the bottom drainage.

At first I intend to make the partition as "plug & play" using plastic sheet that can be slotted in but ends up with permanent concrete walls. Cool

so if I don't have the chamber divided it will still work, but there is a possibility that the waste willl flow back into the pond right?

Well... suma pun bole... it will work but in my theory your half end filter will grow the bad bacteria as the oxygen getting lesser towards the end.. I might be wrong.. Crazy
