Dear Muskk786 See link below on an interesting discussion on the merits of a trickle filter. Convincing. It's 5 pages long (has a diagram of a trickle filter) and once you're through, don't blame me if you start preaching it as well. Ha! Ha! [biggrin] http://www.koi.com.my/ubb/Forum4/HTML/000067.html Anyway, as DTTK advised, don't forget to install a mechanical filter before your bio-filter to trap heavy wastes so that you don't clog up your bio-filter too quickly. Another thing is to size the bio-filter roughly 30% of the capacity of your pond and pump water through the filter at least once or twice every hour. Cheers Joshua
