skippy filtration Can't Post
i have read about this skippy filtration using rubbermaid tub, green wool as filter media , but i notice the top isnt covered , isnt BB suppose to thrive in dark area?

Hello, from what I undertand, the bacteria you want thrives on OXYGEN and the constant flow of water, so sunlight is relative, one reason that you might want to cover the top is to prevent the growth of alge, in my opinion I have seen and built better systems using barrels, but that is my opinion!
