water pump? Can't Post

need to know how much water should be pumped thru water filter per hour. have app. 4500 gal pond. water is pumped about 25 feet to settlement chamber, then into trickle tower and out to pond. now i have sump pump, have to replace. i have a big flow out of filter, and am thinking i don,t need that much, and a smaller pump would cut down on the cost. what would you recomend?? been looking at savio, but need advice. have 2 ponds one is smaller and i need a pump for that one to, it is 1000 gals, with trickle tower and water fall. thanks for a reply, betty

Helo,
As I know you have to rotate all the water into your filter system at least every two hour.
This to make sure the filteration flow and biofilter efficiency.
Thats mean, if your water volume is 4500 gallons, you will need at least 2275 gallons perhour pump flowrate.
I suggest you try Tsurumi 40PU2.15S model. Which allows about 3,170 gallons perhour.
Power consumption also very low 1/5 hp (150 watt)
Head size 2"
Gurrantee 60000 hour nonstop (6-7 years)Wink
I have been use two units for my pond
You can get the details thru this web site. Thank you

tsurumip@tm.net.my

best regards

iqbal
