Hi sapinah,

As far as I know, I don't think any of the koi dealers here sell this Venturi unit.
I could be wrong.

I am not sure why your Venturi is not working, but you may also consider inserting
a small tube with air-stone into the vertical stand pipe. That will provide you with
much more oxyen supply in my opinion.

Cheerio,
Thiam Hwa

Could you please post a picture of the DIY venturi system?

I have a picture of my DIY Venturi in the Members Pond - "Another Shallow Pond", which is very easily done and cheap.

Thank for your guidance, Thiam Hwa

Actualy I had look such as in taman desa DIY venturi but in quite messy. So i will like a simple one, but still try to improve mines. Here im attached my ponds in kuantan, pahang (neayby cherating) while now im staying in KL. Honestly my kois is not original from japan because im still studying to improve my pond system recently . I need you to comment my pond design and suggest what to do to improve my pond, this pond I build with my father by our own and took about 2 years to complete. But the problem we still facing is the water quality itself (yellownish). I will give my pond spec to you my filering system is gravity feed system.Crazy

Water volume: -/+ 22000 liters
Pump: 2 unit tursumi 40PU2.15 (11000 l/hr)
Inlet: Waterfall and 1 unit venturi
Outlet: 2 unit 4 inch (100mm) bottom drain
Filter Chamber: 3 (6600 liters)
Clarifier unit: 1 submersible UV unit in last chamber (40 watt)
Nitrite filter: We build L shape small pond to put inside several plants for water treatment before end as a waterfall to the main pond)

Sump pump lifespan. [In reply to] Can't Post

Hi,

I had been using this pump for last 2 years and still in good condition now with efficiency loss are not significant. This can be measured by looking to my 1 n 1/2 feet width flat glass waterfall, within two years the waterfall still in good shape. This is because now days sump pump use induction motor which is totally brush less for less maintenance, and for the waterproof washer they use silicon type rather than carbon -silicon old type. Tsurumi itself give 2 years warranty for continuous use. Any detail you can get thru Tsurumi web site and ask me for more. Those are the Tsurumi's words in their manual when you buy their product.

1.Continuous duty, air filled motors are designed to operate in pond and waterfall environments.
2.Built-in thermal protection protects against "run-dry" failures
3.Average life span is four to seven years operating continuouslySly
