Acidic ground water! Can't Post

 I am using ground water for pond.
I tested my pond water PH is abount 8 ,but the ground water PH is abount 5.5.
Will the ground water be harmfull to my fish?
My pond is about 4 months,the alkalinity due to new concrete ?
should i / how to increase the PH of the ground water? (it is a well)
My pond size is about 5000 gallons

There is an article(click here) on using Baking Soda to raise the pH.

If still in doubt, please post back for forum members to help.

Good luck

You also have to conduct test for ammonia and nitrites. These are the basic requirement and the happiness of koi depended alot on these.

As a general guide:
pH = 7.5 ~ 8 (ideal)
ammonia = zero
nitrites = zero

More discussion on ground water at this thread as well - Click Here.

Hope these help.
