Amber water Can't Post

Hi all,

My water is clear, to slightly cloudy .But I can't seem to find out
what is keeping it an amber color??
All my test results are spot on.

Any ideas??

Just guessing without numbers, but I would guess DOC with some tannins in the water. What are your water readings and describe your pond for us. (pictures are always good).
Just a thought, but take out 2 quart jars of water at the same time and add a tablespoon or two of Hydrogen Peroxide to one of them. See if it clears the tea color.

I have almost totally changed my water, twice over 3000 gal.. So if I had tannins from some leaves over the winter
I thought it would be gone??

But I will try the Hydro-Perxi.

Are there still leaves in the bottom of the pond??? Leaves with a high tanning content take a long time to break down on their own, and can become a health issue for your Koi if you don't clean them up.

I'd recommend to use good activated carbon in your last filter chamber, just before the water goes back into the pond.
Activated carbon is known to remove tannins from "amber" water to clear it up.
