Hello to all, I am new to this forum and first off would like to thank everyone for sharing their valuable input. I have learned a lot and enjoy reading your posts. I am new pond owner and it's in my house. It is about 175 gallons, using a 1500GPH pump, 1000GPH bio-mechanical filter and also have a smaller surface filter on the opposite end of the 6 foot long pond. It is about 2.5 feet deep as well. I have 13 fish, most smaller KOI and a couple 5 inchers to start so I don't overstock. The pond has a waterfall producing tons of oxygen. I have ran every test I can, all levels are good except it always shows on the strips that the filter needs cleaned which I do daily and the water is almost a murky white/brown color. What seemed to start this was about a week ago I introduced a lily which had some clay in the roots and the water quality has become much worse. The fish seem to be happy, I have added biozyme over a week ago and also added carbon in the filter chamber. There is no real sediment at the bottom when I feel around, I have also stopped feeding for a few days and no luck. The fish arent' coming to the surface and don't appear to be unhappy, I just can't see a thing. Has anyone experienced issues where clay is a bad factor that cannot be fixed, or might this be a time issue I must wait out for weeks and weeks to come? Thanks for anyone's input
