Fish that are compatible with Koi? Can't Post

Does anyone have any experience with or know of types of fish that are compatible with koi; specifically scavenger/ bottom feeder type fish of some sort, maybe like a tench or catfish that won’t attack my koi but would be content with eating the stuff on the bottom and elsewhere and keeping the pond clean.
Any ideas or information would be appreciated.

Thanks
Al

any catfish are a no no since they have sharp needle like spikes on the first ray of their pectorial fins and their dorsal fin.

tinfoil barbs, golden barbs, angel fish are ok, I have some in my koi pond. I have seen a red arowana in a big koi pond.

They are fine, but you have to realize that goldfish are more sensitive than kois when it comes to medication. some treatment for kois can be fatal for goldfish like supaverm.

I have 2 Bullheads in my 3000 to 4000 gal pond. So far all is well as the Koi, Goldfish and Bullheads all seem to be getting along ok. The lady we bought the house from, hence aquiring the pond, said they'd been in there for a couple of years. She also figured the bullheads wouldn't survive but they have. They're bottom feeders and help clean up a bit. And they're as healthy as can be.

My only problem was a Crane getting in and eating some of the fish while I had the net off for a few days. When I'd see it at the side of the pond I'd scare it off, but I think it had a few for breakfast. Mad The nets back on and the Crane hasn't been around lately.
