Grrrrrr!!!!! FOAM Can't Post

Every morning for the last couple of weeks. (about the same time when I added some S.A.T. - so I may be answering my question, myself).

I've got 360 gallons, with mech/bio/and UV filters. I've used my test kit repeatedly since the foam's been appearing (seems to be gone by 10 AM), and everything's saying the water is fine, but it still worries me. Could it be from the String Algae treatment? Algae took off this spring before I could get any anachris/hyacinth/split some lilies, etc. - Now that my plants are really going strong, I'm confident they'll do a lot to help filter everything, but the foam worries me. My test strips say everything's in order but I'd like to hear if anyone has some input on this.

Re: [cmalgee] Grrrrrr!!!!! FOAM [In reply to] Can't Post

from your scenario, sometimes, its because of the fish food that you gave ur kois, some fish food have bad binder, this means, the protein within the fish food gets into your pond water fast, thus, creates foam, however, you may try to stop feeding for 3 days, see whether the foam still there after that.... or maybe change fish food...
