Hot Weather and bacteria infection

Dear All, The spate of hot CNY weather recently has caused bacteria infections and a dropsy epidemic in arowana farms in northern Malaysia so much so that supplies of S1 up north have run out. Keep a look out for your koi ponds and build up of coliform bacteria. If you see signs of red streaks or ulcers, it is best to disinfect with biotope or other mild disinfectants before the infection gets out of control. Those with oxydators will find the H2O2 disinfectant qualities most helpful in times like this. Come to think of it, ever since using the oxydator, I have not encountered incidents of systemic bacteria infection. Hope the rest of you could share your experience. Cheers, Jeff
