Is There Such a Thing as a Do Nothing Pond? Can't Post

I turned my Olympic size swimming pool into a pond. Now I have 10 gold fish and 6 koi in it. I have no filtration, and would like to make do without one. I have three large water lily in it and try to plant some water spinach. The only problem I am facing right now is the pea soup green pond.

What's the best way to keep the water clear without any filtration?

Lots and lots of plants. Tricky to do because koi carp EAT plants.

Not gonna happen. There aren't enough plants in the world to do the trick, as decaying leaves, etc... will constantly feed the algae bloom. The only way you will keep a pond like that clear without filtration is to have a 24/7 flowthrough system. Probably at least 25% fresh water exchange per day minimum... Of course the water has to be dechlorinated as well.
I can't imagine why you would have an "Olympic Size Swimming Pool" for a Koi pond and NOT want to filter it anyway. Such a large setting would look better with a large waterfall/filter system running anyway.

I have a stock tank pond that has never had any filtration for the past few years and it's always crystal clear. It's covered with plants everywhere. It also has lots of minnow fish. I used to have gold fish and koi in it, but because of the plants being everywhere, they couldn't escape raccoon's paws.

I figured the large pond could do the same, except I want lots of gold fish and koi in it. The pool converted pond is 4-5 feet deep, so the fish should be able to run away from those raccoons, I hope.

It may take a long time for the pond to be filled with plants, and in the meantime it looks pretty bad.

It is possible but pond without filteration is likely to be subject to algae blooms. One of the possible ways to maintain clear pond (provided it is a large pond like one you indicated and relatively small numbers of fish) is to have a very very good aeration of the water. You will need to create good aeration by making some relics where water can trickle down. Make the passage as long as possible within the aesthetic aspects of your pond before water is trickled down. Try multiple trickle points.

However, the best is still combination of sufficient aeration and proper filteration system which can actually be designed with minimum maintenance features.

Due to our country's climate and our water quality, its impposible to have a clear pond without any water flow filtration system.Stop dreaming, accept the fact and get a filter.
