New Pond's Green Water Problem, Please Help. Can't Post

Hi! I am new to this forum, i would like to ask some questions.
I got a 5000 liters pond with 4 koi of 15cm in it, and the filter has been running for about 7 weeks now. But green water appear at the 3rd week, so i add a TT to it 2 days ago, and the following readings have been recorded:

Day 1 after added TT filter:
Water Temperature: 13.5 C
Weather Condition: Cloudy, no sun, no rain
PH: 8
NH3/NH4+: 0
No2: 0
No3: 0

Day 2 after added TT filter:
Water Temperature: 12.5 C
Weather Condition: Raining, no sun
PH: 8
NH3/NH4+: 0
No2: 0
No3: 0

But the green water still here, so what should i do now?
Thanks!

Check the expiration date on your test kit. With zero Ammonia, Nitrite, Nitrate, algae cannot live. What were your reading before installing the TT's? It would also be beneficial if you took readings morning, noon, and evening. Algae will consume nitrate during sunlight hours and give you false readings. I mention this possibility because your TT's appear too short to be very good at degassing.

What biomedia did you place inside the TT?

Is it lava rocks or bioballs?

The former doesn't take as long to mature with bacteria, but has less surface area than the latter, while the latter takes weeks to mature with bacteria but in the same volume has a greater surface area for bacterial colonisation.

I don't believe you should add a UV light.

I put Bioballs in my TT, and before i added the TT, the following readings has been recorded:

Water Temperature: 12C
PH: 7.5
NH3/NH4+: 0.25ppm
No2: 0ppm

I didn't have UV-Light installed in my pond.

But I want to ask, if the algae run out of food, how long it will take for the water to be clear?

I posted some more pictures.

From the looks of your pond. your pond looks very clam, i mean there is no aeration around the middle of the pond. i dont know how your pond set-up is. Does it got a bottom drain? the purpose of the aeration is to circulate the accumulated debris so it can be pick-up by the filter suction, if you dont have a bottom drain that is. and from the looks of your TT, it doest have that strong flow to clean your pond. but since you say, u just added a TT, means there is a primary filter in place. mind asking, how much is your turn over-rate of both the filter & how big is the filter size?

just for info. algae bloom because of a few things. high Nitrate level, over-feeding, full sunlight**, unmatured filter, unactive bacteria in the filter, overstocking. **my pond is underfull sun for 12hours, i dont get algae boom.

how is the algae, green or brown. floating around in clumps, or floating freely and very fine? i also notice the temperature you are having. Nitrogen process done by the bacteria. the bacteria might be a little unactive at the cold temperature.

anyway, those are my finding to your problems. what i suggest you to do. if to do a 30-40% water change to lower the algae count. see how that goes 1st..

I do have a bottom drain.

Pond is 5000L and the pump is 12000L/hour

I think my TT is not tall enough.

What do you think?

I think you should allow more time for your TT to mature with nitrobacter, especially since it is filled with plastic bioballs that in my experience will take weeks to mature unlike lava rocks. So, for the time being, do not touch the bioballs at all (in fact don't touch them at all, nor adjust the water flow (unless you have very poor spray pattern on to the TT biomedia).

Green water.
Okay the primary cause of algae bloom is phosphorus in the water. Don't ask me how it would get there in your pond which looks like it is inside a building. But there are commercial phosphorus removers available.
Calcium bentonite works too. But only fine powder sprinkled on the water surface.

But I have been reading up on green water because we have ONE pond which we can't get rid of the green water. It's in a greenhouse. There are also a lot of water plants in tubs all over the greenhouse...without fish.. that have green water.
None of our other ponds have the problem...or the problem has been solved with calcium bentonite.

But it seems there is a SPECIFIC type of algae which is really Cyanobacteria It is a combination of plant and animal and is controlled with ANTIBIOTICS.
I haven't tried the antibiotic route because the antibiotics also kill the good bacteria.
